Five Year Refresh Plan
Antioch Unified is committed to moving away from a site based responsibility for the planning and purchasing of technology equipment for classrooms and infrastructure. Our District envisions instituting a 5 Year Refresh Plan that will put the responsibility of providing a sustainable basic minimum at all sites. Individual schools may supplement this plans with site funding and grants. Details may be found on the links below.
In Need of Assistance?
All employees are able to log in at the AUSD Information Technology Service Portal to request help with technology needs. (Click on the link and save the page to your browser favorites or go to the AUSD home page and use the Staff link to find the Information Technology Service Portal link.) To log on, use the same user name and password that that you use to log on to your District computer. You have the ability to submit tickets, to check out the IT Knowledge Base which includes “How To” information, answers to frequently asked questions, and information about your computer. Submitting tickets to the portal rather than emailing an IT employee not only allows tracking of problems and solutions, but also ensures that your request will be assigned in a timely manner. The portal is monitored regularly whereas emails to individuals may go unread and slip through the cracks.
Creating a ticket request is easy. Click on the “New Ticket” button and fill in the fields with the appropriate detailed information. You can find the name of your computer on newer equipment by clicking on the blue scroll icon on your desktop named “Get Dell Service Tag”. On older computers, right click on My Computer. Left click on “Properties”. Select the “Computer Name” tab.
The IT Service Portal will be your “one stop shopping spot” for technology including approved District purchasing procedures. Remember to check this information before acquiring equipment through purchasing or donations including Donors Choose requests. Hardware/software acquired without following those steps will not be installed or supported by Technology.
