Overview of Antioch Unified School District

 

Antioch is a growing community of more than 100,000 residents. It is situated in east Contra Costa County, just an hour drive from San Francisco Bay Area and Napa Valley.  Antioch is known as the “Gateway to the Delta” because it is located on the banks of the San Joaquin River in Northern California just off of Highway 4 in Contra Costa County.

We are a unified school district serving more than 19,000 students in grades K -12.  We have13 elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools, and one K-8 school.   We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses, and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students.
