Developer Fees

Developer Fees

Pursuant to Government Code Section 65995 et. seq. and Education Code Section 17620 et. seq., school districts are authorized to levy fees on new residential and commercial-industrial development to fund the school facilities necessary to accommodate the students from new development.

To pay Developer Fees:

  • Visit the Antioch Unified School District central office at 510 G St., Antioch, CA 94509, to obtain the required form (see Sample Form)

  • Take the form to the City of Antioch City Hall, 200 H St., Antioch, CA 94509, Building Department, to have the building type and square footage section completed and signed

  • Return to the Antioch Unified School District central office with the completed form and a check for the fees due (Sorry, credit cards, debit cards and cash ARE NOT accepted)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Antioch Unified School District held a hearing at the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on March 8, 2017 to consider the adoption of a Developer Fee Justification Study (2016 Developer Fee Study) for the District and an increase in the statutory school facility fee (“Level I Fee”) on new residential and commercial/industrial developments as approved by the State Allocation Board.  The Governing Board adopted the Study and the increase of the Level I Fee.


Effective May 8, 2017, the Antioch Unified School District will be collecting Developer Fees at the following rates:

Residential Development                                $3.48 per square foot

Commercial-industrial Development               $0.56 per square foot
