AUSD CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR!

Yvonne has been a classified employee of the Antioch Unified School District for 17 years.  She began her career with us as a classified substitute in 1993.  Soon afterwards, she was hired as a Primary Intervention Para Educator and then reclassified to an Instructional Assistant-Special Education.  After nine years as an aide in the classroom, Yvonne recognized that her passion for reading and books was a fit for the library.  Yvonne was promoted to her current role as Library Media Tech in 2007.  Yvonne is an outstanding AUSD classified employee that goes above and beyond her normal daily activities to provide a healthy learning environment and a positive experience for the students of Jack London Elementary.  More information will be shared out soon regarding our 2013 Classified Employee of the Year, Yvonne Lackey.  A special recognition for Yvonne will be held at the May 8th Board of Education meeting. 

A recognition reception will be held on May 21st at the Personnel Commission meeting to honor all of the participating nominees.  We hope to see you there supporting your nominees, coworkers, and friends.
